Help Your Athlete Play Confident, Focused, and Free — Even Under Pressure
A private Mental Edge coaching experience for middle school, high school,
and college athletes (ages 12+) led by former Major League Baseball player Chad Hermansen.
Your athlete trains their body every day, but no one has ever taught them how to train their mind.
The Mental Edge Blueprint is designed for athletes who
are talented, driven, and committed —yet feel held back by overthinking, pressure, emotions, or confidence swings.
This is not motivation.
This is mental training that creates lasting change.
This Program Is a Great Fit If Your Athlete:
- Overthinks during games
Gets emotionally stuck
after mistakes
- Loses confidence quickly
-Feels pressure from expectations, coaches,
or recruiting
-Knows they’re capable of more — but can’t access
it consistently
-Cares deeply and wants
to improve
This program is not about
hype or quick fixes.
It’s about helping athletes understand how
their mind works —
and how to stay in control when it matters most.
What Is the Mental Edge Blueprint?
The Mental Edge Blueprint
is a structured 1-on-1
coaching program that teaches
athletes how to regulate emotions, build real confidence,
and develop
self-coaching skills they
can use for the rest of their athletic careers — and beyond.
This is not therapy. This is not sports psychology theory.
This is practical mental training — taught by someone
who has lived it at
the highest level.
What Your Athlete Will Learn
Through private coaching sessions, your athlete will learn how to:
-Build confidence that doesn’t disappear after one mistake
Stop negative self-talk
during games
-Manage pressure, nerves,
and anxiety
-Recover emotionally
after bad performances
-Stay present instead of playing in their head
-Develop self-trust and
internal leadership
These skills directly impact performance, enjoyment,
and long-term growth — on and off the field.
What the Program Includes

Why Work With Chad Hermansen?
My name is Chad Hermansen.
I was a first-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in
1995 and played six seasons in the Major Leagues.
I also struggled deeply with pressure, expectations, confidence, and the mental side of the game —during my career and long after it ended.
Learning how to understand my thoughts and emotions changed everything.
Now, through professional certifications in:
Life Coaching
Mental Performance
EFT Tapping
Play Big with Dr. Tom Hanson
…I coach athletes to learn
what I wish I had
learned much earlier:
How to get out of their own way.
Two Ways to Work Together
Every family is different.
That’s why there are two ways to engage in Mental Edge coaching.

This option includes:
8 private 1-on-1 coaching sessions for the athlete
(ages 12+)
Focus on confidence, emotional regulation, focus, and self-coaching.
Ideal for families who want their athlete supported directly
This is the foundation.
🅱️ The Family Mental Edge Experience (Most Popular) $2,500

The Parent Edge Program – $1,000 Value
4 private Parent Edge coaching sessions
Coaching parents through:
Anxiety, pressure, and expectations.
Letting go of control while staying supportive.

their athlete.
Understanding how their thoughts and emotions
impact performance
Based on Chad’s self-coaching CTFAR model from
The Parent Edge book.
Most parents are already
doing their best —
this coaching simply
provides tools to do it with more calm, clarity,
and confidence.
Most families choose this option because it creates alignment, clarity, and better long-term results.
Bonus: Ongoing Support Through the Youth Mental Edge Skool App
Every athlete and parent who works with me is also
invited into the
Youth Mental Edge School — at no additional cost.
This private community gives your family continued access to
Mental Edge tools, even after the 1-on-1 coaching is complete.
Inside the Youth Mental Edge School, you’ll find:
Video lessons covering core
-Mental Edge concepts
-Downloadable PDFs of the tools taught in coaching
-Guided EFT tapping meditations
(the tool athletes use most)
-Ongoing reminders and reinforcement of the
mental training
This ensures your athlete never feels like it’s “over” after coaching ends—and can continue practicing and reinforcing what they’ve learned at their own pace.
This community is included
as a bonus for all
Mental Edge clients.
Parent Involvement & Application Process
Before I take on any athlete, I speak with the parent or guardian first.
This program works best when:
-The athlete wants the support
-The parent is aligned
-Everyone understands the commitment
If this feels aligned, fill out the application at the bottom of this page. I’ll personally reach out to schedule a conversation.
